If the Government of West Bengal Portal requests you to provide personal information, you will be informed for the particular purposes for which the information is gathered and adequate security measures will be taken to protect your personal information. We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered on the Government of West Bengal Portal site to any third party (public/private). Any information provided to this Portal will be protected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

The Godown Investigation Management (GIM) App is an official application used by authorized government officials for digitizing and monitoring food grain godown investigations. The App collects limited personal information such as name, designation, official user ID, mobile number (for OTP authentication), and email ID (if applicable), along with investigation-related data including godown details, investigation observations, photographs, documents, and system-generated reports, and technical data such as device information, IP address, and usage logs solely for authentication, investigation management, audit, compliance, system security, and performance purposes. The data collected is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling and is not shared with third parties except with authorized government departments or where required by law. All information is stored securely on authorized servers with access restricted to authorized users, and investigation records are retained as per applicable government policies and cannot be modified after final submission. The App does not use cookies or tracking technologies for advertising, is intended for official use only, and by using the App, users consent to the collection and use of data as described herein.
